Elizabeth Francoeur is originally from Québec City and lives in Ottawa since 2011. Prior to her move to Ottawa, she studied and worked in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for nearly 10 years. She studied both Clinical Behavioral Psychology and Music Therapy at Eastern Michigan University.
Her work experience varies; Older Adults populations, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric), Substance Abuse, and Autism Spectrum Disorders populations. She is trained in both Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM), level II.
Elizabeth is a Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) in Canada and a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) in the USA. She is also an active professional musician; she is Principal Clarinet in the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean since 2000.
Elizabeth works as a Consultant in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
